traveling to another destination for the purposes of recreation, leisure, or
business. Tourism is an important, major source of income for many countries.

As for tourism operations, aims to: introduce, utilize, conserve, and improve the quality of objects and tourist attraction, fostering a sense of patriotism and friendship among nations improve, expand and equalize the business opportunities and employment, increase national income in order to improve the welfare and prosperity of the people and to encourage the utilization of national product.

reason for travel. Travel can be to destinations that are domestic or international.

residents traveling only in their country.
Inbound and Outbound tourism both describe types of international tourism.

Inbound tourism, When someone comes to your country.
o Outbound tourism, When
someone goes out of their own country.

bring positive effects and negative effects
The positive effects of tourism such as :
o Promotes cultural awareness and can help preserve
local culture and traditions
o Income from tourists can be used to develop
local infrastructure and services example new roads and airports.
o Foreign currency can help local people

The negative
effects of tourism such as :
o Tourism can have a negative environmental
impact. The increase in the travel has contributed towards increased carbon
dioxide emissions. On a local level natural features that attract tourists are
themselves under threat due to human actions.
o Often local people are employed in low skill,
poorly paid work in unsatisfactory working conditions
o Help destroy local culture and traditions
